In the long run, if the status quo in Iran continues, and Mubarak falls, Tehran will clearly emerge as the winner.
At the very least, it can look forward to a new embassy in Cairo.
Although Israel as a whole will stand to lose much, certain parties in Israel, such as Yisrael Beitenu can lookforward to a major political windfall under such a scenario.
Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows.
